世界地球日2016
興起於1970年代美國校園的環保運動，原先定位於全美以環境保護為主題之草根運動。
中山美國中心盼能延續此項傳統，提昇南台灣之環境保護意識，一同為地球盡一份力。
自1990年代，地球日從美國拓展至世界各地，由192個國家齊力宣傳與實踐環保觀念。
2016 EARTH DAY Awareness Program
The awareness began in the US in late 1960s and the first official program began in 1970 with several environmentalism-awareness education events to talk about the importance of ecology and environment.
Earth Day went international in 1990 where it is celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. Sun Yat-sen America Center hopes to continue this tradition to promote awareness on the environment in Southern Taiwan.

在加拿大北部的冰原，小男孩路克意外發現一隻與母熊走散的幼小北極熊，心生責任感的他決定幫助小北極熊找回母親，展開長達100公里的冰河尋親之旅。因紐特和加拿大混血人種馬克拉克熟悉北極熊的生活地帶，並決定幫助路克完成心願，沒想到一座漂浮的冰山卻讓兩人走散，落單的路克必須學會保護自己和小北極熊，以對抗荒蕪野外和惡劣天氣的危險，完成這個不可能的任務。

李奧納多狄卡皮歐長年以來對環保議題十分關注，盼能利用公眾人物的影響力，提倡環境保護議題的重要性。因此他不僅擔綱製作，也於本片擔任旁白，呼籲人類能夠負起保護這片土地的責任。片名《第11個小時》意在強調人類直至地球演進史進入夜間第11個小時59分59秒才發展起來，形容地球四十六億年的歷史中，人類在近百萬年內漸漸地主宰地球生態體系。過了子夜12時，無論地球被人類破壞得如何，這個巨大有機體可以再持續十億年，但人類是否將成為被自我消滅的物種？
